Here’s an interesting mouse design. Given the name of the mouse, I think the designer intended for the mouse to look like that.

The weather’s been crazy hot for the pass week with temperature reaching 30c or more but on Sunday it finally cooled down a bit. Seeing how I won’t burst into flame while standing outside washing/drying my car I decided to go and give it a nice wash since it was starting to get really dirty.
Later that day after the parking lots start emptying out I decided to take my new camera for a spin and of course the first thing I thought of to take pictures of is my car. I uploaded some of the pictures on facebook since that was the easiest way to share it to everyone and also won’t put a load on my server when people want to look at it but I might also put some of the pictures I really like on here at higher resolution.
Enjoy.

Well I haven’t posted here for a while so I thought I should write something before this month is over.
With the start of school things have been pretty busy. The schedule for engineering is too crazy. You hear Arts student complain about “oh my god! I have four courses this semester! I’m going to die” but then when you show them an engineer’s schedule:

they will be pretty surprised. Although engineer’s schedule seems pretty bad I heard nursing is pretty crazy as well since they have to do nursing stuff at hospitals as well as school.
With the crazy schedule there’s one thing to look forward to though. It’s my final year here. Yup, after this year I can say goodbye to school hopefully and start making some money!
Over the weekend my friend came over with his D80 dSLR and took some pics of Fido which you can see near the end of this post. The puppy is doing really well. His poop have became normal and he finally walk outside. From before he wouldn’t walk at all outside and would just sit there. If you try pulling he will just resist and walk backward. I was getting worried for a bit but he walks now and able to get exercise and won’t be fat.
I finally got myself a puppy. Wanted one since I was little but my parents refuse to take care of him but now that I’m older I can take care of him myself
. Couldn’t really think of a name so I just named him Fido haha. I was thinking of some Japanese names but then it might be hard for my parents to pronouce it and my brother think Japanese names are stupid.
He’s a Havanese Shih Tzu cross breed born on April 27, 2008. The awesome thing is that the breeder paper train him at home so it didn’t take much work to get him to go potty on the news paper at my house. Although the first few days he does have accidents not on the paper but he soon learn. The worst part about having a dog is their pooh really stinks. Cleaning it up isn’t too fun. Wonder if there’s any magical dog that doesn’t pee or pooh haha that would be impossible though from what biology has taught me.
Looks like the pyro have some new updates. Some of them are pretty insane but I guess it’s possible to do if you and a friend or two join an empty server. Still, some of these are still more possible than the medic’s new achievements.
Oh I don’t even know where to start with this. I picked up the car from the dealership today and it looks so amazing! The salesman that sold me the car was busy talking to other people so I had to wait for him. My Miata is sitting in the showroom waiting for me to pick up so I just kept looking and drooling at it. The car is small and really low with 17″ wheels.
After he was done with the other people he showed me some of the stuff/features in the car and where everything is. I really love it when the hood goes up and down. It moves around so smoothly it seems magical! I get enchanted by the movement every time.
Now off on the road we go… kind of. I first drove the Miata to a parking lot nearby to try and get a fell for the accelerator, brakes, and clutch for a bit before taking it on the main road (I don’t want to crash it the second I drove it). Since it’s fairly sunny and warm I put the top down right after I got in and the first time I noticed while driving is the accelerator. Before this car I drove a 1992 Civic EX which is heavier than the Miata and only have about 98-ish HP. The Miata has 166HP so I’m able to accelerate much faster than the Civic. Not only that, the accelerator pedle doesn’t have as much resistance as the one on my Civic so I sometime give it wayyy to much gas. The second thing I noticed is the muffler’s sound. It’s giving off a low growl and it’s not too loud or too soft so I think it’s just perfect. I haven’t drove the it with the top up yet so I’m not too sure if it’ll be any different with the top down. I read on the forums where people complain about the sound being too quiet but I guess I usually don’t listen to my mp3 player on full blast so my ear is a bit more sensitive than most people. The brakes are okay, nothing too special about it and the clutch feels kind of similar to my cousin’s car which I was using to practice manual driving so it’s fine. I think there’s less resistance in my clutch though or maybe I just got use to the resistance force so it seems easier on mine. I really like the short throw shifter though. You don’t really have to move much to get it into another gear.
Dealership is a five minute drive with no hills so I was able to get it home safely and effortlessly. No stalling too! (Not bad for someone that only drove standard twice) When I got home, instead of parking the car, I did what everyone would have done after getting a new car. Take it for a spin! Since my manual driving skills aren’t too good I just drove around the residential neighbourhood. I noticed something after driving it for a while. The air coming out of the vents is warmer than the air around me. I wonder if I’m pushing it too hard.
After driving around for a bit I was getting hungry so I went back home to eat dinner then it was back out with the car. Instead of driving around to random location around the city I decided to run some errands as well. Called up my friend to return the PSP and mail a letter out. On the way to my friend’s house it requires me to pass by a homeless food feeding place. Everyone outside eating/lining up was staring at my car >.< (eep! Not the kind of attention I want) so I quicky drove off.
Done the stuff I needed to do but… oh no! The sky is gray and it’s starting to rain! I quickly drove back home onto my driveway and put the top back up. It’s not raining too hard so I grabbed my camera and took a few pics before parking it in the garage.
The picture quality isn’t too good since it’s not bright out and the camera isn’t too good.

So there you have it. My first car purchase. The manual transmission I’ll need to get use to but with more driving I’ll soon be one with the car
. I really need to get some mud guard though. The car already has dirt on it since the city haven’t clean the streets from the sand they use in the winter and it just rained so my tires just picks up the dirt and toss them all on the car. I can’t wait to take the car out for some more spins
Work is being awesome again and treated everyone on the team to Indiana Jones and free food. This is all pretty awesome but then I had to delay my car pick up to tomorrow
.
The movie was pretty good. There wasn’t a point in the movie where I thought it was going slow and before you know it, over two hours have passed already. I guess you can say everything was expected of an Indiana Jones movie but I thought they played the theme song a bit too much.
After the movie was over, my coworkers was talking about the movie and comparing it with the previous three. After hearing about them it really made me want to watch the first three so I might do that sometime when I get the chance even though I’m not too fond of old movies. There was some reference to the previous movies in this one so there’s some jokes that you’ll probably won’t understand unless you watch them (had to have my friend explain some of them to me
).
I guess overall I’ll give this movie a 8/10
Wow! Some insurance company are outrageous. Not only are they prejudices, they also charge the age group 16-25 and male a ridiculous amount of money. Just did an online quote with the insurance company my dad’s with for myself. The quote I received back was a little over $3000 a year.
Being in engineering and a member of APEGGA student program, I’m eligable to receive discounted insurance. I got a quote from that place and it was only $1805 a year. Such a big different than normal people. I think this is the only time where I’m glad to be in engineering. It’s saving me almost half on the cost of insurance.
It’s pretty stupid how it’s okay for the insurance to be stereotyping and charge people so much. If you’re older your insurance will be cheaper. If you are female the insurance will be way cheaper. If you’re married it’ll be cheaper. If you have children it’ll be cheaper. I so happen to fall into the group that have the most expensive insurance
. I’m also getting a 2 door sport car which they stereotype that too and charge you crazy amount.
Car insurance needs to be more fair with the price. Like give a base starting price for everyone and then when something happen increase the price by a lot. This way it’ll be more fair for everyone
